The Caryatid Pendant features in a design collaboration between ESA EVANS and the Sir John Soane's Museum in London. This piece is Inspired by the statue on the façade of the Museum. Caryatids are the scultpured figures of women that serve in place of pillars or columns.
There are two of these statues on the museum’s façade, Soane used these statues (made by the famous Coade & Sealy) on a number of his projects, notably the Bank of England and Pitzhanger Manor. The caryatid design is based off ancient Greek sculptures at the Erechtheion temple on the Acropolis in Athens.
The Caryatid Pendant is made in hypoallergenic stainless steel and finished in 18kt gold plate, on a 40cm curb chain with a lobster clasp.
